Highlights
The Dartmouth College Fund, which raises unrestricted dollars that aim to provide 10 percent of the College's annual budget, raised $38.1 million in gifts in FY 2009. Annual funds for the three professional schools have also had strong showings despite the economic downturn. Participation among graduating classes has skyrocketed in the past five years—from 56 percent in 2005 to 96 percent in 2009—signaling enthusiasm of current students for their Dartmouth experience and recognition among young alumni of the importance of philanthropy to the College.
